Government of Serbia decides not to sell Telekom Srbije to Telekom Austria

The Government of Serbia decided today to reject the offer of the company Telekom Austria to sell the 51 percent stake in Telekom Srbija for EUR 1.1 million.

The Task Force for the sale of Telekom Srbije yesterday recommended the government to reject the offer of Telekom Austria. In its improved offer, this sole bidder has offered to pay EUR 800 million immediately and maximum EUR 300 million in installments over the next nine years.

The minimum price that the government set for the 51 percent stake in Telekom Srbija on the tender is EUR 1.4 billion.
