County Indjija, in cooperation with Slovenian county Lenart, plans garbage recylcing, EAR is financying the project

The team of the project of Slovenian county Lenart who has done the first a method of hard waste separation in ex Yugoslavia, have visited the county of Indjija. Indjija's representatives were recentley in the visiti to Slovenia and had ooportunity to see the center for waste collection "Letnik - Zaubermaher", waste storages in Ptuje and Puconci, as well as the storage "Dogos" and a recycling center "Surovine" in Maribor.

The president of the county of Indjija Goran Jesic pointed that the purpose of this project is a decrease of communal waste quantity on the territory of Indjija and to continue exploitation of the existing local waste storage till construction of regional, sanitary one, in agreement with national strategy and European standards.

The director of JKP "Komunalaca" in Indjija, Slavko Puvaca pointed that the project lasts around 12 months, after which period there is a normative regulation, and then purchase of waste vessels and creation of areas of disposal, that is separation of specific parts of the garbage. County of Indjija will be among the first, or maybe even the first one in Serbia to separate the garbage, that is to have special cans and containers for biological waste, plastics, paper or glass.

The project is financied by European Union, and realized by the Eurpean agency for reconstruction, and conducted by Continued conference of the cities and counties through the program "Exchange".
