Cadez: Belgrade to Become “Gate to the Region” for Foreign Companies Thanks to Organization of Expo 2027

The arrival of the foreign companies which are interested in opening representations for Europe in Serbia, as well as the most modern fair complex and the infrastructure that will be built in Belgrade for the purpose of the organization of EXPO Belgrade 2027, is the most important benefit for Belgrade as the organizer of this world expo, stated Marko Cadez, the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS).

After the specialized exhibit EXPO Belgrade 2027 in Surcin is held, Belgrade will get the most modern fair complex in Europe, matching those in Frankfurt or Paris, and the organization of Expo will pay off through direct income from the arrival of foreign tourists, Cadez said on the Fokus TV show on the B92 TV channel.

– The organization of Expo is the best thing that Belgrade has gotten so far. Many things will be built and new services will be created. We have had plenty of inquests from foreign companies which, following the decision to have Serbia organize Expo, want to move their centrals for Europe from southeast Europe to Belgrade – Cadez said.

The president of the CCIS pointed out that, thanks to the organization of Expo 2027, Belgrade would become “the gate to the region” for numerous international companies to which Serbia will be a potential place for investments and new jobs with local companies, according to the CCIS website.

That is why, he says, the CCIS will accelerate and, before the beginning of Expo 2027, complete the construction of the Western Balkans Region Economy Pavilion, where the CCIS hub will also be located during the exhibition.
