Agreement on subsidies for 200 new jobs signed - Banini invests €30 million in new confectionery plant

Minister of Economy and Regional Development Nebojsa Ciric signed on Thursday in Kikinda an agreement with representatives of the company Banini on the allocation of a grant for the creation of 200 new jobs, the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development announced.

After signing the Agreement, Ciric said that that aid was important for the municipality of Kikinda where the unemployment rate was close to 20 percent and added that the state would always help companies like Banini to boost exports and create new jobs.

Ciric invited entrepreneurs to apply for grants and reminded that the National Employment Service had started the implementation of a programme for small and medium-sized enterprises in 2011 and that subsidies ranged from €1,000 to €4,000.

He pointed out that the aim of all measures was to create an environment and a mechanism enabling the state to actively help companies that are capable of producing and exporting products even at the time of a crisis.

Banini's main export markets are CEFTA countries, as well as Russia, Sweden, USA, and Australia.

Through this ministry’s programme of investment incentives, administered by SIEPA, Banini has received €1 million for the construction of a new confectionery plant in Kikinda municipality and €5,000 per each new employee.
