Who's competing for Srbijanka Valjevo – the Karićs, Nektar, Rauch, Union, Fructal, Americans, Frenchmen...?

Srbijanka Valjevo will soon find the buyer. Privatization Agency announced that Nektar-Bačka Palanka and Austrian Rauch were interested in procurement of company from Valjevo. Recently, the representatives of Slovenian Brewer Union visited Valjevo. Union has recently bought famous Fructal from Ajdovščina. It is assumed that the background of that visit is commencement of the production of juices labeled Fructal, whereas fruit brandy with logo of Srbijanka would be produced as a brand.

Greek Jubanka is trying to buy Voćar, which was supposed to be excluded from the property of Srbijanka after it was mortgaged. Cal Prune, the biggest manufacturer of prunes from California, is also interested in purchase of Voćar. It is interesting that one famous manufacturer of cognac and other alcoholic drinks from France is interested in distillery, i.e. production of alcohol in Valjevo. Unofficially, Russian company owned by the Karić family is very serious potential buyer. (Pregled)
