IT Sector Exports Expected to Reach EUR 4 Billion This Year

We are working with the European Investment Bank to connect all our schools, even those with a few students, to high-speed internet, and so far, we have connected 1,800 schools where children can learn in an innovative way, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic pointed out at the panel called “What is the future of digitalisation?” held in London. There, she also met with representatives of alternative investment funds, which invest in startup companies across Europe, according to the website of the Government of Serbia.

The Prime Minister specified that IT sector exports are expected to reach EUR 4 billion by the end of this year.

At the meeting, Brnabic expressed her satisfaction that she was able to hear that the representatives of the funds are familiar with the rapid growth of the startup ecosystem in Serbia, as well as that some have already visited our country.

She also mentioned that special subjects in the field of art are being introduced in high schools, because with IT you also have to be creative, and art subjects contribute to that.

She said that Serbia will continue to strengthen innovative entrepreneurship and promote Serbia and successful young people.
