With its today’s flight JU754, Air Serbia marked the start of a direct seasonal service to Chania on the Greek island Crete. The national airline will be operating flights to the new destination three times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays, the company’s press release says.

Air Serbia’s inaugural flight received an official welcome at Chania International Airport, located on the Akrotiri peninsula, 14 kilometers from the city center.

The second largest city on Crete, the port city Chania, has a rich historical and cultural heritage. Known for the well-preserved cultural and historic monuments and charming streets, the old town attracts tourists from all over the world. Amazing palaces, artwork and the naval spirit are embedded into every part of the island. One of the city’s symbols is the lighthouse, which retains its appearance from 1830.
