Production of water heaters and other electrical appliances in Vranje - Simpo and Macedonian Leov invest together, 200 new workplaces

At the joint meeting of the Supervisory and Executive Boards of Simpo a.d. Vranje, also attended by the president of the trade union, the conclusion of the Preliminary Agreement on joint investment between Simpo a.d. Vranje and the company Leov from Veles, Republic of North Macedonia, has been approved.

As announced by the Supervisory Board of the Vranje-based company, the decision was made on the basis of a detailed written proposal of Simpo's general manager, Sladjan Disic.

Simpo a.d. Vranje and the company Leov will establish a business company Simpo-Leov, with headquarters in Vranje, whose main activity will be the production of electrical appliances, equipment and devices, primarily buffers and water heaters.

In the newly founded company, Simpo will invest the construction facility with the associated infrastructure, and the company Leov will invest in equipment and "know-how".

The total value of the investment will be around EUR 11 million. The new company Simpo-Leov will hire 200 new employees, 100 in the first year of the investment and as much in the second year.

The Leov company is one of the largest producers of water heaters in the Balkans.
