Opening of the fourth Veropoulos market in Belgrade, in which 8 million euros have been invested, is scheduled for Wednesday, April 20. The new shopping center will span 7,000 square meters, 2,000 square meters of which will be occupied by a hypermarket whose offer will include 16,000 articles. The complex at 253 Vojvode Stepe street will also include a parking lot for 60 cars. The new Super Vero has already employed 120 people.
A trade center with a restaurant and a cafe are situated on the first floor, as well as a playhouse for kids, dry cleaning store, kid's clothing store, newsstand, mobile phone shop, etc.
Construction of this facility, which commenced in 2008, was slowed down by conflicts between the tenants of the nearby skyscraper and the building site security over the parking space, as well as a power generator that was torn down during the construction. For that reason, the company Veropoulos has bought and installed a new and stronger power generator.
"The company Veropoulos has so far invested over 47 million euros in facilities in Serbia and employed more than 400 people. These investments will grow much bigger in the following period in spite of the current economic crisis. Also, the company plans to open markets in the provinces of Serbia, which should also lead to the creation of new jobs", reads the company's statement.
