Jovanovic: ICT sector export in Q1 EUR 786 million, ambitions for this year are EUR 4 billion

The data for the first three months show that the export of the ICT sector amounts to EUR 786 million. This is an increase when compared to the same period last year by as much as 44%, said the Minister for Information and Telecommunications Mihailo Jovanovic in Doha, at the economic forum whose main topics are the diversification of energy sources and the economy based on knowledge, innovations and technologies.

- May we remind you that last year we broke the record, the export for the whole year was EUR 2.7 billion. This gives us hope that this year we will far surpass 3 billion, and our ambitions are that this year's exports reach EUR 4 billion - says Jovanovic.

Jovanovic recalled the increase in foreign investments in new technologies, but also the local investments in the development of science and technology parks.
