The company Subcarlito from Subotica has founded four companies for the solar power plants construction on the territory of that town in Vojvodina. In an interview to eKapija, Károly Kovács, the owner and founder, advised that the first ones to be built are the Suncarlito Beta and Suncarlito Gamma power plants, with a capacity of 2.2 and 2.75 MW, respectively.

- For these two projects, urban planning projects have already been completed and they are currently open for public inspection. For Suncarlito Alpha, with a power of 3.19 MW, an urban project is being prepared, because we already meet the prerequisites for design and connection issued by Elektrodistribucija - says Kovács for our portal.

As for the fourth solar power plant that is currently in the plan, Suncarlito Delta, it will have a power of about 3 MW, and Kovács states that it is still in the stage of request submission for the issuance of these prerequisites.

In total, all four solar power plants will have a power of more than 11 MW.

According to Kovács, Beta and Gamma will be built near the old brick factory, Alpha on Cantavirski road, while the location for Delta has not yet been specified, but it will be located on the territory of Subotica.

All electricity, he says, will be delivered to the grid. and the start of construction of the first two power plants depends on obtaining an energy permit.

- The plan is for the construction to start at the end of this year - says the investor and states that the estimated value of the investment is 700-750 EUR per megawatt.

He adds that the company plans to build more solar power plants in Vojvodina.

- For further projects, we will "descend" a little further south, we are looking for locations that meet the conditions for issuing a building permit and for connection to the electrical grid. This is a pilot project for us, so we will see how it develops - says Kovács.

Additionally, the company Subcarlito is engaged in energy consulting, so the idea for the development of its own energy projects came from there.

- We advise companies that develop wind farms and solar power plants, so we came up with the idea that, instead of growing corn on our family lots, we should build solar power plants - explains our interlocutor, who says that wind power plants are currently not in their plans.

His advice to future investors is to carefully choose the location, that is, to check whether they can get a building permit for such projects. Also, he adds, the speed of the procedure will depend on the capacity, because an energy permit is not required for solar power plants under 1 MW, while for medium ones, there is still a 3-6 month wait for implementation.
