Expansion of Morava Airport – Construction of Technical Platform and Garage for Airport Equipment, Fire Station and Expansion of Parking Lot Planned

Within the Morava Kraljevo airport, the plan is to build a technical platform for airport equipment with a technical block – a fire station building and a garage for airport equipment and tools, with service roads and a parking lot.

To clarify, the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure has published the public invitation for the presentation of the urban project for construction and development within the Morava Kraljevo airport, and the party that submitted the request for confirming the urban project is the company Aerodromi Srbije.

The urban project covers an area of 27.33 ha.

The space of the urban project covers three parts – the Airport – the civilian part, the Airport – the mixed part, and the public road. The project develops the unit of the civilian part of the airport.

Conceptually and functionally, the current state is to be kept, along with the planned construction of a technical platform with a fire station and a garage for airport equipment and tools with a canopied parking lot for airport equipment and vehicles, as well as the construction of a new service road and the expansion of the parking lot for the visitors and the employees at the Morava Kraljevo airport, the documentation says.

Southwest of the entrance is the existing terminal building with a gross developed floor area of 8,300 m2, on which no new interventions are planned in the sense of increasing the capacities. Instead, regular maintenance, reconstruction and adaptation within the existing dimensions is planned.

South of the terminal building, the plan is to build a technical platform with a fire station, a garage, a canopied parking lot and equipment. Next to the technical platform, the plan is to build the Eco Zone – a space for the storage of hazardous matters. All the way along the southeast border, the plan is to build a perimeter road.
