Indjija – a prime investment location !!

When municipality of Indjija is in the media, in most cases it has to do with investments, and it seems there are good reasons for that – this municipality has attracted some 270 millions euros in Greenfield investments.

There are two developed work-zones, fully equipped with gas infrastructure and electricity.

The municipality infrastructure has been developed, and it is easier to get the construction approval in Indjija then in any other part of Serbia. The biggest Greenfield investment in Indjija was Monus, tobacco factory, with 65 million EUR investments. Recently, Esca Food Solution factory has started production. The factory is specialized in meat processing and hamburger production and distribution for McDonald’s. Slovenian company Terme Čatež will invest 45 million EUR into building a thermal spa tourist complex, and the building of Mercator shopping mall begins in April, in downtown Indjija.

There is also an agreement with Italian investors, who have purchased 98 ha of land to build the Italian industrial zone. The construction of candy factory worth 60 million EUR will begin by the end of the year. There have also been some “small” investments, of 300 – 700 thousand EUR, such as Gas-Teh, Plamen, Plastik-Gogić, Marko-In and others. Those are companies employing around 50 employees, settled down in industrial zone of Indjija Oil company OMV from Austria, has also invested in Indjija, and built two large petrol stations, with 100 employees from Beška and Krčedin. Building of Ric factory for ice-cream production has also been started in south-east work-zone. At the end of this investment cycle, there will be more then 10000 new jobs created in Indjija.
