Serbia, toll to increase by 50%?

Prior to March 13, 2005, Government of Serbia should approve increase in price of toll by 50% for domestic vehicles, Branimir Ujdur, assistant to Minister of Capital Investments, announced.

He justified the increase saying that more money was needed for rehabilitation of road network and that European Union demanded that the price of toll in Serbia be equal for both foreign and domestic vehicles, which was not the case at the moment. The toll for domestic vehicles is 3.7 times smaller in comparison to the toll for foreign vehicles.
