The Pirot-based textile company Prvi Maj is agreeing a tentative deal with Hugo Boss from Germany, Prvi May Acting Director Veljko Krstic confirmed on Tuesday.
- We are mainly operating at full capacity, but we have accepted to sew 30,000 suits this season for Hugo Boss. We are in the final phase of negotiations on that deal - Mr. Krstic told Beta news agency.
As he added, the trial batch of suits for the German fashion company should be finished late this week.
- I hope everything will be done in the best possible way and to a mutual satisfaction, especially because the price Hugo Boss pays us is much higher than the price paid by our other partners - Mr. Krstic stressed.
According to his words, Hugo Boss was a potential strategic partner of Prvi Maj, in association with the Slovenia's fashion company Mura.
- That story is currently on hold since Hugo Boss has decided not to expand its production capacities, but it is willing to provide a technical support to its long-term partners - Mr. Krstic explained.
Prvi Maj is in restructuring since mid-2010 when the privatization agreement with Djordjije Nicovic, the owner of Irva Investicije, was terminated.
