German Factory Bizerba Opened in Valjevo – Around 300 Workers to Be Employed in First Phase

The German factory Bizerba opened yesterday in Valjevo. The works on the construction of the Bizerba factory began in March last year, when it was announced that around 400 employees would work there. The investment is worth more than EUR 33 million.

The final size of the facility, which consist of pre-fabricated, logistic and administrative spaces, will amount to approximately 11,000 m2. The administrative part, which will spread on 2,000 square meters, will take up the least space. The structure required over 340 pre-fabricated concrete parts, including columns and beams.

In the first phase, around 300 workers will be employed, and the average net salary, as announced earlier by the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, will be over EUR 1,100.

The first scales were produced and delivered to the clients in February this year. In the modern factory, the company says, entirely new possibilities of process automation and digitization have been created.

Bizerba plans to develop a global strategic platform for the production of a whole range of scales meant for retail outlets over the next year.
