Test Serial Production of Electric Vehicles in Kragujevac to Start in Late 2023

The test serial production of electric vehicles at the Stellantis factory in Kragujevac should begin at the end of this year, but it’s still not known which model it will be, the president of the Autonomous Trade Union of the factory, Sasa Djordjevic, told the Beta news agency.

He expects the full production to start seven to eight months after that, in 2024.

Djordjevic said that modern equipment was being intensively assembled inside two factories and that there were now fully formed “fields”.

According to Djordjevic, it is still not known which model will be produced in Kragujevac and assessed that there are only “speculations” in the media.

He said that certain media had first mentioned Panda, and that the most recent announcement had to do with Citroen C3.

Djordjevic said that it was not surprising that there was no official information about the model at that moment, because the situation had been similar when the production of Fiat 500L was being prepared.
