Nearshoring and Potentials of Supply Chains in Western Balkans States – Panel Discussion of German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce at International Fair “Hannover Messe”

The Western Balkans is becoming an increasingly important region. A large number of German companies is coming to the Western Balkans states in order to use the favorable conditions for the opening of their production facilities, geographically close to the European Union, or find potential suppliers from the industries in demand.

Within the upcoming international industrial technology fair “Hannover Messe” in Germany, the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Hannover Industry and Commerce Chamber (IHK Hannover), the Delegation of the German Economy in North Macedonia and the Representation of the German Economy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is organizing the panel discussion “Nearshoring and Potentials of Supply Chains in Western Balkans States – WB6”. The panel discussion will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 4.30 PM, Hall 2, Stand D54.

The panel discussion will be opened by the director of IHK Hannover, Maike Bielfeldt, whereas, during the panel, the following people will share their experiences and know-how regarding said subject: the head of the service sector of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Milan Krstic, the director of the company Perform, Milos Jankovic, and the director of production at Engineering DASS Ohrid, Sasho Bozinovski. The moderator of the panel is the executive member of the Managing Board of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce Alexander Markus.

Germany is the most important trade partner for this region, the shortest air line from Germany to the Western Balkans is only 350 kilometers, and German companies have so far created more than 120,000 jobs in the Western Balkans.

The official language of the panel discussion will be English. Applications may be sent by April 17, 2023. Free entry to the fair in Hannover will be provided to the registered visitors.
