IMF Executive Board to discuss arrangement with Serbia on April 8

The meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Executive Board, at which the IMF will decide on the seventh, final revision of the two-year stand-by arrangement with Serbia, is planned to take place on April 8, IMF Permanent Representative in Belgrade Bogdan Lissovolik stated.
- If the opinion on the seventh revision of the arrangement is positive,
Serbia will be able to withdraw about EUR 360 million, however, the
Serbian authorities earlier announced that they would withdraw only one
part of that amount, that is about EUR 55 million - Mr. Lissovolik stressed.
He pointed out that the agreement signed with the Serbian government in Belgrade in February, during the talks on the seventh revision, envisaged that potential budget revenues above those planned can be used only for limited and targeted one-time payments to pensioners and public sector employees.
- The agreement was and remains a basis for the completion of the seventh revision of the arrangement - Lissovolik stated, adding that the IMF representatives had still not officially discussed with the Serbian government any new arrangement.
