Serbian Minister of Economy, Predrag Bubalo, announced that Factory of Building Material "Toza Marković" in Kikinda could soon be privatized. He pointed out that some big foreign companies had shown interest in it.
One of big companies for production of building material from Germany, Spain or Italy, which intended to offer serious investment and social program, could be the best solution for Kikinda-based factory, said Bubalo.
Reminding that the two factories for production of brick products in Serbia have already been bought by Astrian "Tondah" and Croatian "Našice-cement", Bubalo said that it would have not be that good if any of those two companies had bought "Toza Marković", because, in that case, two thirds of production of brick products would be controlled by single owner.
Lack of good investment and social program by Croatian "Našice-cement", the owner of 30.3% of capital in factory "Toza Marković", had been the crucial reason for absence of tender for sale of State-owned package of 15% of stocks, Bubalo explained.
