“Russian oil company ‘Lukoil’ stated that it was planning to participate in the privatization of the Montenegrin company ‘Montenegrobonus’, one of the largest participants in the oil market of Montenegro”, Russian media reported.

The analysts claim that that Russian company is one of the most aspiring competitors in the open auction. That means that “Lukoil” is continuing its expansion in east Europe. That company’s intentions to strengthen its positions in Europe were recently definitely confirmed by the President of “Lukoil”, Vagit Alekperov.

The company started to realize these plans sooner than expected. Yesterday, citing the general director of “Lukoil-Beopetrol”, Vladimir Rjepin, Russian trade office in Serbia and Montenegro spoke about the intentions of the company to participate in the auction for privatization of “Montenegrobonus”.
