Garant put new plant in operation in Odzaci

Prime Minister of AP Vojvodina Dr. Bojan Pajtic and Provincial Secretary for Science and Technological Development Professor Dr. Dragoslav Petrovic opened the 87th new technology plant yesterday in Odzaci. The plant is in the possession of the company Garant, the manufacturer of parts for freight vehicles and agricultural machines.

The value of the investment exceeds 120 million dinars, the fourth of which have been provided by the Provincial Government. In Odzaci, where no plant has been opened over the last 23 years, Mr. Pajtic pointed out it was a historical event and added that the Provincial Government would open another plant in that place, situated in one of the most underdeveloped municipalities in Vojvodina:

- We have invested 30 million dinars in this plant, which will directly employ 25 people, while another 300 will be employed through various forms of cooperation. Thanks to the Programme of new technology plants, nearly 21,000 people in Vojvodina have got jobs to date. This programme is of exceptional importance for attracting investments in the municipalities where no plant has been opened for decades.

The production plant of the company Garant in Odzaci is situated in a 400-square-meter hall. The new plant for processing components for freight vehicles is equipped with mostly automated equipment imported from Italy.

In addition to new jobs, the opening of this plant is also important for an increase in the volume of production and the expansion of Garant's product portfolio, which will also ensure a greater export.
