The first day of the event, November 16, will be reserved for traders and professionals from the world of wine, whereas the other three are open for all wine fans. The fair is expected to be even bigger than last year, which places it among the biggest events of that type in Europe.
Last year’s inaugural edition of the biggest wine fair in the region was held from September 1 through 4 and attracted over 30,000 visitors, primarily fans of wine, but also traders and professionals from the world of business, winemaking and hospitality. On that occasion, at the Belgrade Fair, wines from over 350 wineries from the region, but also from the world’s most famous winemaking areas, were tasted: from France and Italy, to America and Australia.
During this year’s edition of the fair, the international wine rating event Open Balkan Wine Trophy will be held again, and the jury will consist of some of the world’s most influential wine critics, as well as carriers of the Master of Wine title. In addition to wines and spirits, part of the fair will be dedicated to gastronomy, with star chefs as the guests, as well as a rich side program of masterclasses and workshops.
