Belgrade Motor Show Without Discounts This Year, Focus on Hybrid Models

The International Motor Show and the International Motorcycle Show “Motopassion” will be held from March 22 through 28 at the Belgrade Fair, and according to the organizer’s announcement, there will be no discounts on cars this year.

The project coordinator, Zoran Lupsic, emphasized at the press conference organized on the occasion of the coming fair that there would no big stock for a fast delivery of cars that year and that there would be no discounts, because the price policy “is dictated by the supply and demand ratio.”

As he pointed out, 33 producers with around 40 premieres of new vehicles will present themselves at the 55th International Motor Show, and the focus will be on hybrid models.

He also announced that the Chinese brand Chery and Jilin would return to the fair.

The president of the Serbian Association of Vehicle and Spare Parts Importers, Aleksandra Djurdjevic, said that there was an insufficient availability of vehicles in Serbia and that there was a great pressure on producers and importers due to the producers’ shifting to hybrid models.

She emphasized that Serbia needed good infrastructure for such vehicles and expressed her satisfaction that the Government of Serbia had approved a bigger budget for 2023 for the subsidizing of the purchase of environmentally-friendly vehicles.

– We welcome the announcement of the regulation which removes the import of used vehicles with Euro 3 and Euro 4 engines. It’s high time this happened here and for us to start dealing with environmental protection. Renewing the rolling stock is the pre-condition not just for a safer traffic, but also for a cleaner environment – Djurdjevic said.

In addition to cars, the latest side equipment for cars, as well as chargers for environmentally-friendly vehicles, will be presented.

The International Motor Show and the International Motorcycle Show “Motopassion” are open from 10 AM till 8 PM.
