The Ministry of Environmental Protection has notified the public that it has given approval to the environmental impact assessment study of the project of the construction of a tunnel at the Kadinjaca pass.

The project of the construction of the tunnel beneath the Kadinjaca pass, which has been announced several times, and which will shorten the road from Bajina Basta to Uzice by 6 kilometers, has been waiting for a “green permit” since August last year, and the location requirements were issued back in 2019.

The investment in the construction of the future tunnel, 1,350 meters long, is EUR 60 million, and according to the latest announcements, the completion is expected in 2025, and the works are to be done by the Chinese company POWERCHINA.
