Montenegro, Tender for reconstruction of Vrmac tunnel again, Strabag and Bauxite Mines rejected

Montenegrin Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Transportation announced that the tender for reconstruction of Vrmac tunnel, on the road between Budva and Kotor, would be announced "as soon as possible" again. The first tender was announced in December 2004. Austrian company "Strabag" was the only one to fulfill all requirements of tender procedure, but its offer was not accepted because of the high price.

European Investment Bank, which will approve credit for the reconstruction, rejected offer sent by Nikšić-based Bauxite Mines that also applied on tender.
