Building permit issued for construction of facilities at the port of Oil Refinery in Pancevo - Investment worth EUR 8.8 million

The Vojvodina Secretariat for Architecture, Urban Planning and Construction handed on Tuesday a building permit to the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS), thus approving the construction and reconstruction of facilities and installations for loading and reloading activities at the port of the Pancevo Oil Refinery.

According to the statement issued by that secretariat, the investors are NIS and NIS-Petrol, while the value of the planned works is EUR 8.8 million.

The building permit enables execution of works at the existing port for the reception of crude oil and dispatching of derivatives, which is connected with the Pancevo Oil Refinery by means of a pipeline.

Construction of new and reconstruction of existing facilities will ensure automation, security and safety of the process of loading and reloading crude oil and oil derivatives, reduction of the emission of harmful gases, protection of the Danube from pollution, and meeting of the highest environment protection standards, reads the statement.
