(Darko Budec, Branko Babic and Ivan Rakic) Branko Babic, founder and owner of the company PhiAcademy is the winner of the prestigious recognition EY Entrepreneur of the Year TM, which is traditionally awarded by the international audit consulting company EY (Ernst&Young). The award was handed over to the winner by the president of the independent jury, Darko Budec, and Ivan Rakic – EY Country Managing Partner for Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In addition to the main award, EY also handed out recognitions to Stojan Dangubic, on behalf of the company Aling Conel, in the subcategory EY Innovative Entrepreneur of the Year, whereas Milos Kostic won the award in the subcategory EY Fast-Growing Entrepreneur of the Year on behalf of MT-Komex.
– The very participation in this program is truly a great honor. I am extremely proud to find myself in the company of fantastic entrepreneurs and to represent our country in Monte Carlo. This victory is an incredible motivation for each next entrepreneurial endeavor – stated Branko Babic, founder and owner of PhiAcademy and EY Entrepreneur of the Year for 2022, the press release says.
Branko Babic founded PhiAcademy in 2014. The activities of PhiAcademy are education and training of people for applying durable makeup, production of paints and tools required for durable makeup, their sale and distribution throughout the world through their online platform. It is the only company which covers all the segments of the durable makeup application process with its operations. This is the largest beauty academy in the world whose seat is in Serbia (Belgrade), and special additional distribution and production sectors are located in Austria, Germany and Serbia.
– The EY Entrepreneur of the Year program has been presenting fantastic candidates to this area and the market for over a decade. For years now, our company has been witnessing the enormous efforts that entrepreneurs put in the development of their companies and the upgrading of the local communities that they operate in. Entrepreneurs are most often pioneers in their niches, regardless of whether they have implemented a new way of doing business, new ideas, new technologies, making them an irreplaceable part of the economy. Due to this, I am extremely proud that this program celebrates those who have a far-reaching impact on their surroundings and I can safely say – create magic. I am convinced that this year’s winner will also be able to compete with entrepreneurs from the global scene and that we will once again show how many successful companies there truly are in our country – stated Ivan Rakic, EY Country Managing Partner for Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As the carrier of the EY Entrepreneur award for 2022, Branko Babic will represent the Republic of Serbia at the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year TM selection in June in Monte Carlo.
In addition to the winner, by the decision of the independent jury, the final selection also featured: InMold Plast (Goran and Slobodan Jankovic and Nevena Nikolic), LE-CO (Lidija Lekovic), Natura Trade (Milenko and Branislav Bozic), Poslovni Sistem Mihajlovic (Dejan Mihajlovic), Relog Media (Milutin Pecic).
The mobility partner of this year’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year program is Star Import, and Raiffeisen Bank is the sponsor of the gala evening this year as well.
The EY Entrepreneur of the Year selection is traditionally supported by the Ministry of Economy, RTS, Biznis & Finansije magazine, eKapija business portal, and from this year, Nova Ekonomija portal as well.
