Formal opening of old/new hotel Balkan in Belgrade - on Thursday, February 16, 2006

On Thursday, February 16, 2006, the renovated Hotel Balkan will be formally opened in Belgrade under the slogan "New hotel at old place". Hotel also celebrates its 70th birthday this year. On that occasion, the new restaurant Orient Express will be represented. The restaurant will definitely be one of the most exclusive restaurants with international cuisine in Belgrade.

Hotel will be formally opened by Mayor of Belgrade, Nenad Bogdanović, and the guests will be greeted by Jovica Đurić – president of company WEG Technology and the owner of hotel Balkan.

Domestic company WEG Technology became owner of the hotel in August 2005 and, in only few months, it brought old glamour back to the hotel, but with modern service. The investment of company WEG Technology of few million euros turned Balkan into modern hotel that will soon get the fourth star.
