City of London College in Leskovac - British university opens school in Serbian Army Hall building

The building of the Serbian Army Hall in Leskovac, which was last year allotted to the local self-government to assign twenty apartments, will soon be turned into a college. Kingswood CEO Miroslav Jovanovic, a representative of the City of London College, and Leskovac Mayor Slobodan Kocic have signed an agreement on the opening of that school in the city on the Veternica river.

The college will have about 2,200 square meters of space within the former Serbian Army Hall at its disposal for free over the next 25 years. All classes will be exclusively taught in English and students from Leskovac will be offered a discount on their tuition fee. As Mayor Slobodan Kocic assessed, the opening of this college will also benefit the city since foreign students will be staying in it.

Miroslav Jovanovic, Kingswood CEO and a professor at the City of London College, specified that classes would start in autumn and that it was necessary to complete the accreditation process in the Ministry of Education of Serbia.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Jusuf Sahzad, the Director of the City of London College, who pointed out that there would first be four departments within the College - Management, Finance, Computer Science, and Tourism - and that the introduction of new attractive departments was in the pipeline.
