Dilemmas solved, Gorenje starts construction of big factory in Valjevo on March 1

Now it is for sure that Gorenje will not move the location of the new factory of household appliances to Čačak or Kraljevo and that it will build it in Valjevo. The works will start on March 1 and the completion of works is expected on October 16, 2006.

Town Hall of Valjevo has provided the access road project, as well as projects for construction of necessary insfrastructure. Republic Directorate for Property has transferred the ownership from Railway TRansportation Company Beograd to Town Hall of Valjevo, so that the building permit will be ready in 15 days.

Slovenians promised that they would hire building companies from Valjevo and the region, which will have to meet all norms and deadlines for construction of this hall with distributive center (over 25,000 square meters).

In the first phase, 4,000 refrigerators will be produced on daily basis, whereas lines for production of washing machines and other household appliances will be assembled later. The factory will employ 250 workers in the first phase of work.
