Web Service for Electronic Toll Collection to Begin Working

The PE Roads of Serbia has announced that, from Friday, December 30, it will put into operation the web service for electronic toll collection.

As they point out at the Roads of Serbia, in the initial phase, the service will function in the territory of Serbia and be available to natural persons exclusively.

– In the next phase, based on the negotiations realized so far, we expect the countries of the region to join, so electronic toll collection will soon function through the same platform in several interested countries. This will enable all users to pass through several countries which participate in the joint project of connecting electronic collection in the region with the same TAG device – they say at the Roads of Serbia.

In order to become a user of electronic toll collection through the unified platform for electronic toll collection, you need to have a TAG device (an existing or newly bought one) as well as a payment card (debit/credit card, Mastercard, Visa, Maestro).

After using a certain section of the highway, the users will be automatically charged the toll for the registered payment debit card or credit card, the announcement clarifies.

In the initial phase, said service will be available at the PE Roads of Serbia POS at 64/5 Ustanicka Street each work day between 7 AM and 10 PM. In the next phases, the service will be expanded through the existing distribution sales network for electronic toll collection.
