The Ministry of Mining and Energy today announced that the Government of Serbia had adopted the Energy Support Road Map, thereby creating the conditions for the signing of a financial agreement with the European Commission for IPA 2023, which would secure EUR 165 million in direct sector-based budget support for energy.

– The Road Map focuses on direct needs with the aim of providing support to the most vulnerable households and small and medium enterprises, but also continuing down the road of energy transition, in these times of crisis – stated the minister of mining and energy of Serbia, Dubravka Djedovic, as announced by the ministry.

The minister once again thanked the European Union for recognizing the importance of support to Serbia and for setting aside considerable funds in the time of a global energy crisis.

– The adoption of the Energy Support Road Map will further strengthen the institutional response of the state to the energy crisis and is of remarkable importance for the further improvement of energy stability in Serbia – Djedovic emphasized.

The document was assembled through a public consultation process with all the interested parties, public institutions, civil society organizations, European Commission and international financial institutions.
