Jovanovic: First Proposals of Laws About Media by Year-End

The work groups are working intensively on draft amendments to the Law on Electronic Communications and the Law on Public Information and Media, whose first proposals are expected by the end of 2022, stated the minister of information and telecommunications of Serbia, Mihailo Jovanovic.

At the meeting with the ambassador of Germany to Serbia, Anke Konrad, the launching of the Work Group for the Preparation of the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Electronic Media and the importance of free media were discussed, as announced on the government’s website.

On that occasion, the minister stated that the priorities of the competent ministry were the freedom of the media, independence, safety and improvement of the position of journalists and journalists’ associations.
