State-of-the-art public video surveillance system installed in Prokuplje

The most modern video surveillance system in Serbia was put in operation today in Prokuplje.

The system was put in operation by Swiss Ambassador Erwin Hofer, while its installation was made possible by Telekom Srbije and the company Vukom within the scope of the Safe Prokuplje project worth EUR 30,000.

This video surveillance system enables high-resolution shooting and the fastest communication from the site of event to the contact center that will be situated in the building of the local self-government.

The system comprises 14 cameras that cover the 8 busiest intersections in the city and are mainly installed in the vicinity of primary and secondary schools in the city.

As the Ambassador of Switzerland explained, it is a significant project aimed at making citizens feel secure and creating preconditions for safe business operations.
