Russians purchased/did not purchase Mobtel, who is surprised, who is angry, uninformed, happy ... ?

Novosti, March 6 – Representatives of Russian Alpha group had been received in the Government of Serbia on request of ambassador of Russian Federation to SCG, said minister Predrag Bubalo. On that occassion they were informed on all the problems related to ownership relations in mobile telephony in Serbia. The representatives of Russian consortium emphasized that they heard of certain, but not all, disputes between the State and Mobtel, but they also added that they were willing to take part in all the necessary negotiations in order to solve those disputes.

Glas javnosti , March 6 – Predrag Bubalo claims that the members of Government of Serbia were shocked hearing news on procurement at the meeting. Neither him, nor Prime Minister Koštunica did not heard anything about Karić’s intention to sell BK Trade up till that moment, but he is not sure whether Minister Velimir Ilić , who was also present at the meeting, knew anything about that transaction.

Glas javnosti/BK TV , March 6 – One of the owners of Alpha Group and president of company Alpha telekom, Gleb Fetisov, announced that he would not give any comments on the contract for the sake of protection of interests of company and keeping of business secret.

Novosti, March 6 – People who work in mobile telephony sector of Alpha Group do not know anything about how much money BK Trade intends to earn from the sale of its part of Mobtel and which phase that sales contract entered. Vice president of Alpha telekom, Kiril Babajev, said that he had found out about that business from the newspapers.

Glas javnosti/Srna, March 6 – When asked who Igor Cukanov was, Babajev said that he did not know, but he was sure that person with such name did not work in Alpha Telekom.

Novosti, March 6/www.gazeta.ru – Information on the web site says that Igor Cukanov conducted negotiations in Belgrade as a representative of broker company Centar Invest Group, without any authorization issued by Alpha group. Press secretary of Russian Embassy to Belgrade, Aljona Kudrjavceva, said that that business was big step forward in development of relations between Russia and Serbia. She added that Russian Embassy had not taken part in negotiations, but only introduced Igor Cukanov to Prime Minister Vojislav Koštunica.
