Year-on-Year Inflation in Serbia in October at 15%, Month-on-Month at 1.9%

Prices of goods and services used for personal consumption in October 2022 in relation to September 2022 increased by 1.9% on average, announced the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia. Consumer prices in October 2022 increased by 15% in relation to October 2021. Consumer prices in October 2022 in relation to December 2021 increased by 13.5%, on average.

Observed by main groups according to the destination of consumption in October 2022 in relation to the previous month, increase of prices was noted in the groups Restaurants and hotels (4.1%), Food and non-alcoholic beverages (3.5%), Clothing and footwear (2.2%), Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (1.7%), Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (1.5%), Education (1.3%), Transport (0.6%), Recreation and culture (0.5%) and in the groups Alcoholic beverages and tobacco, Communication and Health (each by 0.2%).


Prices of other goods and services mostly remained unchanged, the Statistical Office announced.
