Two weekly flights from Belgrade to Dubrovnik - Croatia Airlines obtained permit

The Croatian air transportation company Croatia Airlines has obtained a permit to operate two Dubrovnik-Belgrade-Dubrovnik flights a week, on Monday and Wednesday, in the period June 20 - September 7, the daily paper Blic learns.

The U.S. company Ryan International Airlines is interested in operating flights from Belgrade to Chicago. That company has already asked the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia for a permit. After obtaining the permit, this airline is expected to start operating flights as of this summer.

The companies that have obtained a permit for the summer flying schedule, which starts on March 31, are: Nesma Airlines from Egypt (for Hurghada-Belgrade-Hurghada charter flights on Monday and Friday in the period April 18 - November 4), low-cost air carrier Eagles Airlines from Italy (for regular Forli-Belgrade-Forli flights twice a week, on Wednesday and Saturday, from April 13 to October 29), Lotus Air from Egypt (for Hurghada-Belgrade-Hurghada charter flights twice a week, on Monday and Thursday, from May 23 to October 31, and Sharm el Sheik-Belgrade flights on Tuesday and Friday in the period June 10 - September 23).

The Directorate is also processing a request submitted by the U.S. air carrier Ryan International Airlines for a permit for Chicago-Belgrade-Shannon (technical landing) Toronto-Belgrade-Shannon-Chicago charter flights, which should be operated once a week in the period from June 3 to October 29.

- The permit will be ready as soon as we receive all the documentation from this airline - says Katarina Andric-Milosavljevic from the Directorate.
