Shares of the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, which are expected to be included in trading on the Stock Exchange in February 2011, have been entered into the Central Registry as part of the preparations of this issuer for commencement of stock exchange trading.
Nikola Tesla Airport, similar to NIS, has millions of shareholders, while its majority owner is the Republic of Serbia with a 83.15% stake. The Share Fund owns 0.08% of shares of that company, while 1.8% of shares are in the possession of its employees and former employees. The citizens of Serbia possess a total of 15% of shares and they will get 1 piece of these securities each. The airport is one of six public companies whose shares were initially planned to be distributed among citizens for free. The company achieves quite good business results, primarily due to its monopoly position.
In 2009, Nikola Tesla Airport registered a business revenue of RSD 4.6 billion and a net profit of RSD 1.7 billion. It is expected that the starting price of these shares should be RSD 600, which means that the company's market value will be RSD 20.6 billion (EUR 196.7 million).
