“Next time you are in supermarket, try to find the shortest way to the cash register. Experienced sellers know that, at the end of shopping, you will be tired, hungry and the crowd will make you nervous, so that, without thinking, you will take some additional candy.” These are only some of the tricks the children at the age of 11 learn in the campaign carried out by the Nutrition Commission in England. The aim of the campaign is to teach kids all methods the marketing experts use in order to sell fast food, which is the main cause for obesity in children. On web site Chew on This, there are picturesque explanations of the strategies the marketing experts use in order to create relation betwee the children and certain products. “Marketing experts apply methods that deceive even parental “radars” – says member of Commission Ket Dalmani. He thinks that the influence of new forms of marketing – text messages, positioning of products in the TV shows and Internet games – rapidly grows.
