Arhi Nova Gets Task of Redesigning Former Politika Building – Modern Environment-Friendly Office Space to Be Built Soon (PHOTO)

The Arhi Nova studio has been entrusted with redesigning the former office building of the company Politika AD in Despota Stefana Blvd in Belgrade, whose investor is Severna Morava. As they said, once the job is done, “the Belgrade center will get 3,000 m2 of healthy, modern and economical office space”.

The facility consists fully of office space with features which make the stay of employees and other tenants very pleasant. The ground floor features a cafeteria and a coworking space with a dominant central entrance hall between these two zones. The basement used to act as a storage space, as well as a space for storing coal. When the facility is reconstructed, it will be a modern coworking space, with a small amphitheater/cinema, meeting rooms and an open office space.

– Considering that the former business services building of Politika AD is in the very center of the city, the reconstruction was very complex from the very beginning and it required full dedication from both the client and our architectural team. The client’s request was based on preserving the architectural legacy and identity, as well as the forming of an attractive office space that would attract users and tenants to this space in the central city zone which has not been used for years – Arhi Nova says for eKapija.

They point out that what makes this facility specific is that it is becoming a “friend” of its environment.

– We like to use this epithet for this facility, because what makes it special is that, once the reconstruction is completed, it will proudly carry the GOLD LEED certificate and tag, which we consider the biggest quality of this project. It is precisely that important thing that indicates the advantage of this office space over many others in Belgrade. We will soon have an office space that rests on reliable ecological design principles and a facility which preserves its environment, thereby giving an example for others to think even more about this subject – they note.

Additionally, air treatment by bipolar ionization ensures an environment rich with active oxygen. In addition to the neutralization of smells and the pleasant freshness that the filtered air provides, the natural level of ions in the space also disinfects both the air itself and all the surfaces that are in contact with it.
