Regarding this, the request for giving approval for the Study of the environmental impact assessment for the project of the reconstruction and extension of the technological process at the factory complex was filed to the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
As said in the project, which was prepared by the companies Bates and Green And Naturale Environment, Vorwerk and Eldisy, producers of gaskets and car body parts for famous world companies, currently assemble said parts from finished and processed components in Preljina.
– Considering that the investor wants to expand the technological process and switch to producing parts, which entails certain procedures of the processing of the delivered raw materials and semi-products, certain parts of the facility, that is, rooms, need to be repurposed and potentially adjusted through the reconstruction of interior, mechanical, electrical and signaling installations – the project says.
It is added that this is a transfer of the technology to Serbia and emphasizes that the capacity of the production will increase in phases – in the first phase, the plan entails the procurement of the basic equipment and the production of a relatively small capacity, which in the coming years would increase up to the planned maximum.
The plan is for Vorwerk to produce 1.5 million metal and rubber bearings a week, 10 million assemblies of all types a year and 1.2 million components made by injecting plastic a month.
Eldisy is to produce 970,000 water draining components a year and 5.9 million seal systems for windows a year.
