The photo contest for the most beautiful photo of Serbia, organized by travel portal www.viabalkans.com and Facebook fan page "Beautiful Serbia" (www.faceboook.com/beautifull.serbia), is over.

(A Tree in Sopotnica)

Photographers, mainly amateurs, entered this two-month photo contest by sending over 500 photos, 10 of which have been selected as the most beautiful.

(Above the Clouds, Kopaonik)

Ten most beautiful photos are uploaded to the homepage of the web portal www.viabalkans.com, while some of the submitted photos can also be viewed in the photo gallery of the portal - http://www.viabalkans.com/galerija-slika/

(The Victor Monument in Kalemegdan Park)

Fan page "Beautiful Serbia" promotes Serbia as a tourist destination and gathers over 26,000 fans and lovers of Serbia, fourth of whom are foreigners. The selected photos show tourist places and sights, nature, culture, tradition and customs of Serbia, thus sending a beautiful image of Serbia around the world.

(Zica Monastery)

Some of the photographers whose photos were among the best are: Zoran Sretenović, Manojle Mitrović, Dejan Samardžić, Vicente Aixa Panadero, Lidija Petrović, Ben Palmer, Ivana Cmiljanović, Jelena Savić, Božidar Nikolić, Giorgos Herodotou, Fabian Vendrig, Slaviša Rašković, Tijana Bezarević, Jasmina Straka, Miljan Orelj, Marijola Mančev, Francesco Maria, etc.

(The Spa Rock, Tara mountain)

Travel portal ViaBalkans.com presents tourist destinations and the idea of its editorial staff is to present all tourist destinations and tourist potentials of the Balkan peninsula at one place.

(Waterfall in Gostilje, Zlatibor mountain)

Accordingly, all participants in prize contests also participate in creation of contents of the portal and, thus, give their contribution to popularization of their country, city or favorite tourist destination.

(Goat's Rock, Tara mountain)

The concept of the portal represents a dimension of understanding of space and tourism that is different from the cliches we got used to, thus merging, at one place and under equal terms, all tourist categories and destinations, including famous and elite ones, as well as those potential and still underdeveloped destinations.
