(Uzice)
Minister of Trade and Services Slobodan Milosavljevic and Uzice Mayor Jovan Markovic yesterday marked the commencement of works on the construction of business building of the Custom House in Uzice, for which approximately 2 million euros have been earmarked in the republic budget.
After laying the foundation stone for construction of this building, Milosavljevic said that the construction of that facility in Uzice represented a confirmation of the orientation toward more equal development of Serbia, as well as the fact that western Serbia had an enviable foreign-trade exchange and great opportunities for even better exploitation of potentials of the region.
He specified that the business building of Custom House in Uzice, which should be finished in one year, would have at its disposal approximately 2,000 square meters of office space and accompanying facilities spanning 1 ha.
Markovic said that the Custom House in Uzice, covering Serbia's border areas with Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, had been opened one year earlier.
