More Than RSD 73 Million for Improvement of Combined Transport of 5 Local Companies

The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, signed the agreements on the allocation of incentives for the improvement of combined transport for 2022 on Friday with representatives of five local companies, which received slightly over RSD 73 million from the state budget.

According to the website of the Government of Serbia, Kombinovani Prevoz Prokuplje got funds for the remotorization of a diesel train engine, Milsped Belgrade for the procurement of a combined-transport container, Transagent Operator Belgrade for the procurement of software for the improvement of the operations of the rail operator, Privredno društvo za međunarodnu i unutrašnju špediciju i javna skladišta Transportšped Beograd for the procurement and equipping of pallet racks, whereas Nelk ko. Dobanovci got funds for the procurement of a forklift.

Momirovic said when addressing journalists during the signing of the agreement that “the companies are pioneers in the sector of combined transport in Serbia” and estimated that the agreement s would provide further support to the development of rail traffic and combined transport in Serbia.

– In the circumstances when there’s a war in Europe between the two countries which provide the biggest resource base for the whole Europe, logistics becomes the key issue for the securing of raw materials and sustainable consumption of energy – he said.
