Austrian GoUrban to Expand Novi Sad Team – Plan Includes 70 New Employees by End-2023

The company GoUrban is launching a platform which solves the problem of traffic jams and harmful gas emissions in urban environments. Due to this project, the company plans to triple its team and considerably expand its operations.

GoUrban was founded in Vienna in 2016 with the aim of enabling its partners in the B2B sector to supervise and monitor the rolling stock in real time. For employees who don’t have a private vehicle and still commute every day or plan to leave town for the weekend, this brings a simplified system of transport reservation.

Since 2018, they have been building their tech hub in Novi Sad, and said expansion of the platform pertains precisely to this branch of the company, whose team is supposed to be complemented with over 70 employees by 2023. Explaining the development of the company with the seats in Vienna and Novi Sad, CEO Jonathan Gleixner pointed out that, six years before, they had been the first platform with a sharing model in Vienna, right after Car2Go, and in the field of micromobility, they were the first in the world.

– Today, we operate in over 100 cities of the world, and our desire is to become the biggest software company in the sector of sharable mobility by 2023.

The vision of GoUrban is to launch an on-demand service, which will secure flexible mobility for all citizens at any time, thereby reducing the need to own their own vehicles, whereby the emission of harmful gases would be reduced considerably.
