Japanese Company Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze Visits Potential Investment Location in Prijepolje

Representatives of the Japanese company Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze have visited the municipality of Prijepolje as part of their visit to several towns and municipalities in Serbia. The aim of the visit is to form the base of investment locations for the purposes of their own business activities.

In a conversation with the municipal authorities, they presented the data about their investment project and the necessary conditions for the opening of a facility for the production of electric cables for cars. The necessary conditions for a production hall of 30,000 m2 also include securing a parcel with a total area of 5 ha, according to the municipality’s website.

The Office for Local Economic Development presented the potential locations, following which the representatives of the company Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze and local self-governments visited the location in Ivanje.

Before coming to Prijepolje, the representatives of the company visited the municipality of Priboj, and then traveled to Nis.

Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze is one of the 109 companies of Sumitomo Group, which operates in 14 states in 41 locations, employing around 40,000 people. It produces electric wiring systems and cables for cars.
