HYCU is one of the fastest growing companies in the world and it is building a center with 100 employees here in Belgrade, Serbia, at this very moment.
– We have felt that people in Serbia truly understand what hard, dedicated work means and that they understand how we can satisfy our 3,000 customers worldwide. We already have 60 people here. We will have 100 people by the end of the year, probably 200 people by the end of next year – said Simon Taylor, the CEO of HYCU, on TV Studio B.
– We have asked our team in Serbia to take care of the protection of all our users in Europe – making software, supporting software, even selling software. We believe that this is one of the most exciting businesses in the region.
We have just managed to secure USD 140 million in order to secure the growth of this business. We will invest this money on a global level, but the Belgrade center will be one of the main centers, one of the main hubs for the whole business.
The reality is that our roots are here, in the region. We have an engineering center in Slovenia. We have an organization for support and sales here in Belgrade. I have been coming to Serbia for years now. As I’ve already said, I like people here, I like the food, and I believe that this is the right country for building our great business. I want to say that companies exist here that have truly “changed the rules of the game”. These businesses have proven once and for all that Belgrade can be a tech center in Central Europe and we want to support that development as we develop our business – Taylor says.
The company, founded in 2018, now has 3,200 clients in 78 countries of the world. These include some of the biggest governments in the world, some of the biggest sports leagues, some of the biggest state and local organizations.
– We intend to go all the way with this. We recently had an investment from CISCO, Atlassian, Bain Capital and Acrew, the four most powerful investors and players in the technological space of the Silicon Valley. We will push HYCU through an IPO and we to have as many Serbia as possible who will join us for this “ride” as we are developing our business – says Taylor.
