NBS Increases Bank Protection – Capital Buffer Rate up to Two Percent

The National Bank of Serbia has published a list of nine systematically important banks in Serbia with capital buffer rates for each.

The capital buffer rate for Banca Intesa, OTP Banka, Raiffeisen Banka, NLB Komercijalna Banka and Agroindustrijsko Komercijalna Banka (AIK Banka) is two percent.

The list also features UniCredit Bank, Postanska Stedionica, Erste Bank and Eurobank Direktna, where the capital buffer rate is one percent.

The capital buffer rate is implemented from mid-2017, and the NBS re-examines it at least ones a year and reaches the decision regarding the systemically important banks.
