Serbia Visited by 70% More Tourists in First Five Months

The Serbian government announced today that during the first five months of this year, 70.8% more tourists arrived in Serbia than in the same period last year, with 156.2% of foreign tourists more and domestic by 38.4% more.

In May 2022 alone, there was an increase of 86% in the total number of tourist arrivals; the increase of 51% was realized by domestic tourists, while the number of arrivals of foreign citizens increased by 165%, according to data from the e-Tourist portal, the government announced on its website.

As said, since the season of big festivals and events is only just beginning, “a continuation of the trend of the growth of the tourism economy of our country is expected”.
